Galvalume Steel Coil (GL / AZ)
Aluminum-zinc alloy coated steel — extended corrosion life for roofing in harsh and coastal environments.
Product Overview
Galvalume coil is coated with an Al-Zn-Si alloy (typically 55% Al, 43.4% Zn, 1.6% Si). It offers substantially longer atmospheric corrosion life than GI at similar coating weight, and is the preferred substrate for premium metal roofing.

Procurement Notes
- Confirm exact grade, thickness tolerance and coating weight before quotation.
- Request Mill Test Certificate (MTC) matched to the actual heat number.
- Clarify packaging (seaworthy, eye-to-sky/eye-to-wall) and inner/outer diameters.
- Compare suppliers on lead time, port of loading and inspection readiness — not price alone.
