Steel Coils

Hot Rolled Coil (HRC)

Carbon steel coil rolled above recrystallization temperature — cost-effective base material for structural use.

Product Overview

Hot rolled coil is produced by rolling slab at elevated temperature, giving a scaled surface and slightly looser tolerances than cold rolled. It is the most common feedstock for pipes, structural sections, wheels and general fabrication.

Procurement Notes

  • Confirm exact grade, thickness tolerance and coating weight before quotation.
  • Request Mill Test Certificate (MTC) matched to the actual heat number.
  • Clarify packaging (seaworthy, eye-to-sky/eye-to-wall) and inner/outer diameters.
  • Compare suppliers on lead time, port of loading and inspection readiness — not price alone.
